DIVAS

We want to break down walls. Blow up niche marketing. We'll begin with Grace Slick singing White Rabbit. We'll alternate between musical selections and discussion by a female artist from Minnesota Opera. She'll discuss a little history, technique and aesthetics. We'll continue with more examples of virtuosic singing by women. We'll modulate from popular music to jazz to the light Italian opera repertoire and end with Wagner -- the Liebestod from Tristan und Isolde and the Immolation Scene from Twilight of the Gods when the world ends. . .

Feature Presentation - The conclusion of the Honey West mystery, Murder on Mars, from the Audio Comics Company.  Honey West is investigating the suspicious death of a sci-fi B-movie queen. There's the agent, the ex-husband, a couple of ambitious engenues - all kinds of suspects with motives.  So she takes on the role of a budding starlet herself, and joins them all on the set of the movie.  Written by Elaine Lee.  Directed by William Dufris.

Second Feature - Celebrating the 46th Birthday of the Firesign Theatre - first performance on November 17, 1966 on Radio Free Oz, KPFK, Los Angeles. We offer up their most famous characters in The Further Adventures of Nick Danger, Third Eye.  This track taken from their collection FST's Box of Danger.
