Underwriting Sales Rep: This individual will be an independent contractor and will be paid on a commission basis for all new and renewal underwriting based on collected revenue. The sales rep will maintain positive relationships with current and former underwriting, prospect for potential clients and develop them into new underwriting clients, and draft and submit underwriting copy in consultation with underwriting clients. Legacy Project Manager: The 2008 Legacy amendment supports arts; arts education and arts access, preserves Minnesota's history and cultural heritage. A portion of the dollars appropriated from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund are made available through grant programs throughout Minnesota.

The Legacy Project Manager is an independent contractor and will provide the following services to KFAI:

  • Draft and circulate an RFP for contracted Legacy producers
  • Assist contracted producers to define/develop/revise story ideas for 10,000 Fresh Voices and MinneCulture series
  • Initiate agreements to contracted producers for 10,000 Fresh Voices and MinneCulture series
  • Oversee Artist Release forms as needed
  • Ensure projects are in compliance with Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund (ACHF) guidelines
  • Ensure producers complete projects on deadline and per KFAI specifications
  • Share content and coordinate broadcast schedules with KFAI staff
  • Provide content updates to the KFAI website, PRX (Public Radio Exchange) and AMPERS network
  • Market 10,000 Fresh Voices and MinneCulture on social media sites
  • Oversee volunteer engineers for MinneCulture
  • Manage Legacy Project budget
  • Manage invoices from contracted producers
  • Prepare expense reports for state ACHF grant manager
  • Deliver the project on time and on budget
  • Oversee other administrative duties related to KFAI’s Legacy Project
  • Attend KFAI staff meetings
  • Other responsibilities as agreed upon with KFAI General Manager

KFAI, Fresh Air Radio, Inc. is a volunteer-based community radio station that exists to broadcast information, arts and entertainment programming for an audience of diverse racial, social and economic backgrounds. By providing a voice for people ignored or misrepresented by mainstream media, KFAI increases understanding between peoples and communities, while fostering the values of democracy and social justice.
