KFAI celebrates IWD with 24 hours of programming from Friday midnight March 8th to Saturday midnight March 9. (See full schedule below)

This day of special broadcasting provides opportunities for women’s and girls’ voices and issues to be heard on the airwaves. All of the shows are produced and hosted by women and girls from the Twin Cities. KFAI has been celebrating International Women’s Day since 1989! 

International Women's Day is a holiday recognized by the United Nations and is celebrated throughout the world on March 8. IWD encourages advocacy for women's advancement everywhere in every way and for challenging the status quo for women's equality and vigilance inspiring positive change.
